Perks & Provisions is aggressively searching for a procurement/purchasing professional who is interested in his or her next challenge - taking our purchasing and warehouse department to the next level. A great candidate will be eager to engross himself in the continued operation of our supply chain, while working to lower costs-of-goods-sold, increase supply chain efficiencies, and effectively manage Perks Distribution Center and DC personnel. The ideal candidate will also have the abilities and be excited by the opportunity to build a best-in-class supply chain by deploying new inventory management software & hardware, as well as employ new policies and procedures.

 

Little to no overnight travel is required for this position.

Qualified candidates will exhibit the following attributes:

Ability to forecast demand and appropriately manage warehouse inventory accordingly

MUST

Conduct frequent purchase price cost analyses to ensure competitive cost of goods

MUST

Stay current with industry trends, as well as source new products and equipment

MUST

Negotiate contracts with suppliers to maximize partnership value

MUST

Effectively manager warehouse personnel and offer support to route sales team

MUST

Morning person – Perks Procurement Manager is required to be operating the Distribution Center at 7:00am, Monday thru Friday

MUST

Certification in purchasing – CPP, CPPM, SPSM or CPIM

PLUS

Familiarity purchasing within a multi-branch environment

PLUS

Experience with handheld or mobile computing devices

PLUS

Buying experience with perishable goods

PLUS
